Wobble Broach

If you run a CNC Lathe and you do not know what wobble broaching is then this article is for you. Wobble broaching and wobble broach tools can assist you in adding a polygon form to a work piece without the need for any secondary operations such as Wire EDM. Many industries such as automotive, aerospace, medical, plumbing and fasteners are using wobble broaching in their manufacturing process.

You can produce polygon forms such as hexagons and squares as small at .005" and as large as over an inch.

8mm Shank Hexagon Wobble Broach Tools can be produced in standard or metric sizes and can be made from M2, M4, M42 or T15 High Speed Steel. To add life to the cutting tool, coatings such as TiN, TiAN & TiCN can be applied. Pressure and fluid relief vent holes are standard on all of our wobble broach tools.

There are only two components needed for wobble broaching. 1) A Wobble Broach Tool Holder and 2) A Wobble Broach. Once the optimal speed and feed is achieved the wobble broach process only takes seconds to perform. Many industries are using this technique including the medical industry, aerospace industry, automotive industry, plumbing industry as well as the custom fastener industry.

A typical wobble broach can manufacture hundreds of part so it is a very cost efficient way to add a polygon form to a work peice.
